Submit an Article: Submission Guidelines for Fall 2017

Inviting All Scholars in the Area

The Northern Plains Ethics Journal’s (NPEJ) editorial board invites scholars to submit an article for the Northern Plains Ethics Journal’s 2017 edition.

Guidelines

Submissions should focus on ethical issues affecting the Northern Plains, very broadly understood. Submissions need not be about the Northern Plains, but the ethical issues they address should be made clearly relevant to the region.

Submissions should be sent as an email attachment to Professor Dennis Cooley at dennis.cooley@ndsu.edu by no later than 31 August 2017.

Manuscripts should be double-spaced and prepared for blind-review. Since we are an online journal, we have no length requirements. However, we prefer papers long enough to develop their ideas and arguments in depth, but not so long that the force of the paper is lost in too much information.

Submissions need not be formatted according to any particular style provided that the formatting is consistent and clear, citations are easily understood, and the overall document is easily reviewed by our peer-reviewers.

All submissions that pass an initial editorial review are peer-reviewed.

Upon acceptance, please use the Chicago Manual of Style to format your final paper, including endnotes and a bibliography.

If you have questions, then please contact Dr. Dennis Cooley, the Director of NPEI and Managing Editor of the Northern Plains Ethics Journal at dennis.cooley@ndsu.edu or 701- 231-7038.
